Stopped to get food to go on a nice day. We found a short statured table placed in the corner by the window to peruse the menu and wait for our food. We never got asked which size we wanted, just automatically upsized, good sales tactic. The food was spot on for my hungry self. The atmosphere was casual family diner. Staff was efficient, thorough and friendly.
Classic nice family country diner. Food was delicious thick hand made burgers flame broiled, food came hot and fresh. Staff were friendly and professional.
I went here just the other day with a friend and her family and it was a good experience. The waitress came over right away to ask about drinks (and when they didn't have coke zero in a fountain she offered me a bottle and a glass of ice which was nice) and then gave us a couple minutes to look at the menu, as soon as we were ready to place our orders she was right there. I got a BLT platter which came with cole slaw, onion rings and fries. The BLT was packed with bacon, the bread was perfectly toasted and it had just the right amount of mayo/veggies on it. I wasn't a huge fan of the onion rings because they weren't very big, nothing wrong with the taste. I'm just very picky about them so next time I'm getting all fries instead. However, the cole slaw was amazing. That's one thing I like to try at every restaurant that has it, I don't find too many places that I like it at but when I do I'm super happy. We were checked on multiple times by the waitress and we had great service. I also have to say that I like when Illianos in East Lyme couldn't renew their lease and had to close that Crown pizza was honoring gift cards from there. That really shows you're a great business and to top it all off they have amazing food. I'm definitely coming in for another BLT and cole slaw one day and I highly recommend.
This place was great. There are great choices on the menu. I really enjoyed the stuffed grape leaves. It was the only item I remembered to take a photo of before digging in. The chicken lemon soup is a must try as well. My favourite so far though was the moussaka pizza. It was light cheesy and delicious. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and well lit. Food came well within a reasonable time. I look forward to another visit before the end of this trip. Edited 9-15-24 Returned night before flying out. Just as good the second time despite being 4 times busier. If I’m honest and someone asks for my top 5 ingredients on pizza egg plant is on that list. Moussaka Pizza is a game changer.
Everything is good and the service is excellent. Pasta, meatballs, pizza and all of their salads are very good. We drive 20 miles a couple times a month for dinner and order a pizza to go.
Looking at the buffalo pizza you think no way this is buffalo style at all. The first bite Is a huge suprise. The chicken tastes so fresh and the buffalo sauce is perfect. After a few bites the heat kicks in and I love that. The cheese garlic bread is perfection. The bread crumbles after each bite and the cheese is perfectly melted. The mozzarella sticks to me feel a little dissapointing after having the other food. They are good but nothing special. I would fully recommend the food here excellent quality and fair prices.
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I had the lemon chicken soup and a pepperoni pizza. The soup was OK, plenty of stock, but could have had more flavor. The pizza was very good, nice crust and plenty of cheese. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.4.
I called to have a pizza delivered for a friend that had a family member in critical condition in hospital. .. They don’t deliver… they did! The person who answered the phone was going to but ended up leaving shift and Manager brought it to her house!! Talk about local support and supporting local!!! Not only that, I had a crazy special request.. they came through!! Amazing NICE people… so thankful. It was very appreciated & so very yummy! Highly recommended FAMILY style pizza!
